Recently, I performed at Houston Pride and while I was there, I was able to experience the exquisite culinary flavors of the city. I must say, I have never had such consistently, glorious food in one city, where everything blew my mind!
Whether it’s a unique, authentic Mexican experience you’re looking for at Xochi, the best sushi you’ll EVER have at Uchi or the most innovative and incredibly fresh seafood at Reef, Houston has it all.
If you are lucky to live amongst the deliciousness or traveling through, you won’t want to pass these hot spots up. Thank you Houston for the experience. You treated me exceptionally well!
Xochi
Be sure to bring your appetite and check out their tamales and Tlayudas, which are very large, thin corn tortillas baked in a wood oven with a delicious array of toppings. I highly recommend the “Hongos.”
Uchi
I suggest going with the chef’s tasting and DO NOT pass up dessert. Make sure you try the “fried milk”
Reef
Make sure you dig into their crab cakes. They are fab!
